When
searching for a book by title, take care in entering the title name. Words which are
commonly used need not be entered for eg: a, an, by, or, the.
The inclusion of such basic words only increases the end result of the search. For
effective search results, the keywords in the title must be used. To further simplify your
search we have designed the search with two sub-options with radio button : » Any one word in the title » Start word of title
If you happen to know the first word in the title, you tend to limit the search
automatically, than searching the keyword in the entire title.
To explain in detail : » the Book we want to search is
- Java : The Complete Reference Book by Schildt
- Mastering Java 1.1 by Van Hoff when searching for the first book all you
need to know is the first word and the list of books with "Java" as the starting
word will appear. This list will be extensive and also include lots of co-related books
like the second one.
Effective searching for the first book will occur if the search if limited to keywords
like : Java, Reference.
with the option of searching » Any
one word in the title
But when searching for the second book effective search
will occur when the keyword used will be "Mastering",
with the option » Start word of
title to be selected.
Thus searching by title is effective mode of search when the title of the book is known to
you.
Search by "Author"
The
same when searching for a book by author. For effective search results,
the names of the author must be used. To further simplify your search we have designed the
search with two sub-options with radio button : » Any one name of the author » Exact name of the author
If you happen to know the exact name of the author, you tend to limit the search
automatically, than searching the keyword in the entire title.
To explain in detail : » the book to be searched
- If Tomorrow Comes by Sidney Sheldon - Java Unleashed by Sheldon when searching for the first book if the word
"Sheldon" is typed and the option »
Any one name of the author is selected then books by both author
names will be displayed. In case the second option »
Exact name of the author is selected then only books
starting with the author's first name will be displayed; ie books written by
"Sheldon". We would suggest when searching by author name the option #2 must be
used.

by Pengiun Books in English, the fields viz: author,
category, publisher, language will be required and the search output will be precise and
fast.
And in case of a book on cookery say in Gujarati, the required fields will be Category(cookery)
and Language(Gujarati).
